Scar camouflage tattoos
Scars from surgery, injuries or self-harm can be turned into a tattoo. The condition is time: the scar must be at least a year and a half old, fully healed, flat and no longer reddish. Fresh or keloid scars are not tattooed — the skin has to settle first.
Scar tissue takes pigment differently from healthy skin, so the design is built around the scar rather than simply drawn over it: texture, ornament and shading hide the relief far better than a solid fill. Sometimes the work is split into stages with healing time in between.
Send a photo of the area and tell us roughly when the scar appeared. The consultation is free and there is no obligation — if we see that tattooing is not the right option in your case, we will tell you straight away.
